Vintage Cine'- Kodak Eight Model 25 8MM Movie Camera

VINTAGE 1934 CINE-KODAK EIGHT MODEL 25 f 2.7 DOUBLE 8mm MOVIE CAMERA & LEATHER CASE. ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1934 CINE-KODAK MODEL 25 DOUBLE 8 FILM CAMERA. THIS IS ONE OF THE FIRST DOUBLE 8 CAMERAS. IT IS A WINDING TYPE CAMERA WITH A POP UP "HANDLE" VIEW FINDER, AN ANASTIGMAT f 2.7 LENS AND TWO FILM REELS WHICH ARE STILL PRESENT AS SHOWN.

ALSO INCLUDED IS AN UPGRADED LEATHER CASE. THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL LEATHER CASE - BUT, KODAK UPGRADE PROVIDED DURING THE 60s. PLEASE VIEW IMAGES OF ACTUAL ITEMS AND ASK QUESTIONS. Camera is in exceptionally good condition cosmetically, considering the age.

It has not been recently tested for lack of having correct film. However, there is no reason that it would not work - We are merely saying that this camera has been in good hands for all of these years. The case is also in exceptional condition- but this is not the original - We feel early 60s time frame. The leather and straps are in fine condition. All pictures show the actual item.

The Cine-Kodak Eight, Model 25, was manufactured by Eastman Kodak company of Rochester, New York. This camera was covered in metal-black leather and operated by a spring-loaded motor, with an eight millimeter size film. Per post in collector's weekly: This movie camera, the Cine Kodak Eight Model 25 was released in 1932.

A good time for this camera to be released as this was the Depression and this camera used a new film which was much less expensive. It was the double 8. 25 feet of film equaled 100 feet of 16mm. Plus it came in rolls instead of cases.

It was a small camera about 5"x7" and it seems that it started amateur and home movies. The camera was spring driven with a wind up key. Batteries were a bit large then. To wrap this up it was an easy to use and relatively inexpensive movie camera and it is a bit of history.
